After serving in the U.S. Army, he held leadership roles in the security and hospitality industries before transitioning to mental health in 2019, working with youth in residential treatment. He earned degrees in social and behavioral science, psychology, and clinical psychology, gaining experience with a wide range of mental health issues, including trauma, neurodiversity, and identity development. Chris uses an individual, holistic, and person-centered approach, drawing on CBT, ACT, play therapy, mindfulness, and more to support children, teens, adults, and parents. Cristen Cooper, LPC-A
Cristen earned her B.S. in Psychology from Louisiana State University and her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas at Dallas. She is currently under the supervision of Andrew Mattern, LPC-S. She has previously worked at an inpatient behavioral hospital as well as a clinical research facility, working with individuals with mental health disorders across the lifespan. She approaches therapy from a collaborative and holistic viewpoint and strives to help individuals process and manage the ups and downs of life through evidence-based practices, such as CBT, ACT, and DBT.
